It appears Cate Blanchett is close to signing on to star in Eli Roth's upcoming flick "The House With a Clock in Its Walls".. The film will be based on John Bellairs 1973 novel (illustrated by Edward Gorey).. Jack Black has already signed on, the project is being produced by Brad Fischer, James Vanderbilt, Eric Kripke, William Sherak, Tracey Nyberg, and Laeta Kalogridis..
