Have you guys been watching FX's "THE STRAIN"? It's awesome, one of the best shows on cable! Fortunately FX agrees, the network has renewed The Strain for a fourth season - but unfortunately it appears the end-game is near.. Creators Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan will end the series at the conclusion of the fourth season..
FX Networks president Nick Grad (of original programming), had this to say: "We sincerely thank Carlton Cuse, Guillermo del Toro, Chuck Hogan and their creative team as well as the fantastic cast for three exciting seasons of The Strain. Though we’re sad to see it go, we fully support the way in which they are crafting the fourth season’s dramatic conclusion."
From Executive producer Carlton Cuse: "Our original plan was for the series to last three years, once we began telling that story it expanded to be more. After finishing the writing on Season 3, Guillermo, Chuck and I looked at our remaining story and felt the best version could be told in one more season. We have a fantastic plan for an exciting and climatic Season 4. We are deeply grateful to FX for supporting our vision and for allowing us to end the show on our own timetable."

Season Three Synopsis:
The transformation has begun.
It can no longer be denied — New York City is rapidly falling to an evil epidemic, and no one is coming to its rescue. Its citizens must fight or die.
Dr. Ephraim Goodweather and his unlikely allies tried to take down the embodiment of this evil the Master and failed. Now Eph and Dr. Nora Martinez concentrate on creating a biological weapon to wipe out the creatures, while Abraham Setrakian searches for an ancient book he hopes will reveal the strigoi’s entire history…and possibly a way to kill them.
Meanwhile, the Master is out for revenge, unleashing new and even more terrifying breeds of bloodthirsty creatures. They need to find a way to defeat him before the infection spreads too far and becomes irreparable…before they become monsters themselves.
